The biggest design event in Northern Europe presents work and ideas of more than 2500 designers to more than 295,000 visitors from home and abroad. 23th -30thh September 2019 Capitalizing on the chance of hosting 2009 World Design Congress in Beijing, Beijing Design Week launched its first session in Beijing in October 2009. It was authorized by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and Beijing Municipal Government. Since 2011, Beijing Design Week was held each year jointly by Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group and Beijing Industrial Design Center. It usually opens from the end of September and the beginning of October. The 2012 Beijing Design Week became the first large international design and creativity event in Beijing after Beijing wins the title of City of Design entitled by UNESCO. It recognized by Dezeen as one of the A-level design events in the world, which is the only creativity event been chosen in the mainland. bjdesignweek
2nd – 9th October 2020 Phoenix Design Week is the premier annual event presented by AIGA Arizona to showcase the Arizona graphic design community. Each year, it’s attended by designers, advertising agencies, students, illustrators, writers, digital designers, marketers and more.Early in 2009, designer Mark Dudlik penned a passionate open letter to the creative community, urging designers to stand up and be recognized, thereby helping to elevate the profile of Phoenix as a vibrant and viable city. A number of community design leaders, including the board of AIGA Arizona, recognized the potential for these ideas to “bring together the best creative and industrious parts of this city and showcase them.” Their combined efforts led to the first large-scale effort to unite the visual design disciplines in one local event: Phoenix Design Week. phxdesignweek
Venice Design Week 6-14 October 2018 12-20 October 2019 03-11 October 2020 Venice Design Week is a festival featuring a week-long series of exhibitions, events and activities that seeks to promote and celebrate design heritage and contemporary design scene. It is platform of creativity. Venice Design Week will return to venues and institutions across the city of Venice Italy. The Venice Design Week was conceived by Lisa Balasso in 2010. Building on Venice’s existing craft and design activity, her concept was to create an annual event that would promote creativity from all over the world, calling designers, thinkers, practitioners, retailers and educators. Government of Venice and the Regione Veneto give their patronage to the VDW for its strong vision to connect history and contemporary Design.
