Barcelona Design Week (BDW), launched in 2006 and organized by the Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation, is one of the city’s leading creative events and a key date on the global design calendar.

Its mission is to bring design and creativity closer to citizens and all sectors of the economy, while showcasing Barcelona’s creative energy to the world.

BDW invites both local and international communities to engage and be inspired, highlighting design as a powerful, conscious tool to tackle present and future challenges.

BDW is also a proud member of World Design Weeks, a global network of over 40 design festivals, headquartered in Barcelona.
