Venice Design Week 9-17 October 2021 Venice Design Week is a festival featuring a week-long series of exhibitions, events and activities that seeks to promote and celebrate design heritage and contemporary design scene. It is platform of creativity. Venice Design Week will return to venues and institutions across the city of Venice Italy. The Venice Design Week was conceived by Lisa Balasso in 2010. Building on Venice’s existing craft and design activity, her concept was to create an annual event that would promote creativity from all over the world, calling designers, thinkers, practitioners, retailers and educators. 17th -29th September 2019 The theme of Tirana Design Week (TDW) this year was Foreseeing Uncertainty: Design and Non-Normativity, tackling thus the issue of endurance of design. Tirana is a very inclusive city in terms of design and not only. Close to its 100th anniversary as the capital of Albania, this design week tries to depicts what constitutes the norm in a world continuously oscillating between what is desired or imagined as an endogenous equilibrium and exogenous menaces. The objective of TDW is to draw resarch on the topic of uncertainty and non-normativity in all aspects and contexts found in the city of Tirana, the epitome of which has been disposition.
